But just look at how long it took for teams to start using proven statistics in MLB. It took 15 years of very smart people pestering organizations, continued success of a small market franchise (Oakland) and a book (Moneyball) for these 9 figure valued teams to start accepting and using valuable statistics that had been around and easily accessible since at least the 80s.
