An example is I will be more then willing to play 5-7 off suit in the first few stages just for the fact the blinds are low and there are no antes that a hand like that no one is expecting you to play. If you were to just wait till u get a hand like AK or KQ ect you could be waiting for a long time it does work to play tight to a degree espically later on in a tourny but try playing whatever hand u are delt cheaply just to see the flop and see how that works for you compared to playing tightly.
