My real name is Steven Jacobs, although I am known online as stevesbets. Currently, I use the name “stevesbets” exclusively across all online poker sites.

I was born and raised in the Philadelphia suburbs, graduated high school in 2001 and attended the University of Pennsylvania. I graduated UPenn in 2005 and have since embarked on a career as a professional online poker player. I specialize in heads up (ie, one on one) games, but I often play up to 6-max in cash games and I play a fair number of online and live multi-table tournaments. In fact, I originally started as a 10-person SNG-only player on PartyPoker before moving on to my current games.

In terms of limits, I can be found all over the place. I vary my limit and game selection based on the games that are running and my current level of confidence in my ability to play winning poker. Therefore, in the last year I’ve been found at stakes anywhere from $3/6 NL to $200/$400 PLO. However, I would say that my “typical” limits are $10/20-$50/$100 NLHE/PLO and $200/$400 LO8.

Historically, I could be found at Ultimate Bet, Party Poker and PokerStars. However, in the last year or so, I’ve stopped playing at Party (obviously) and UB while also drastically increasing my play at Full Tilt Poker. I’ve also played much less on PokerStars. I can currently be found splitting my play between Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars.
